Accessibility

WOW Samagam wants this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, switch devices, voice control or browser zoom. We have built this site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as our working standard.

What we’ve built in

• Semantic HTML headings, landmarks and one clear heading hierarchy per page.
• Every interactive element — links, buttons, the service dropdown, the mobile menu, the FAQ accordion and the gallery lightbox — is reachable and operable by keyboard alone, with a visible focus state that is never removed.
• Meaningful alt text on informative images; decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them.
• Colour is never the only way information is conveyed, and text is checked against WCAG 2.1 AA contrast targets.
• Motion and entrance animation respect your system’s reduced-motion preference and never obscure text.
• Form fields carry visible labels and accessible error and success states, not colour alone.
• The layout is built to work at phone, tablet and desktop widths without content being cut off or requiring horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one-time checklist. We test with keyboard navigation and screen readers as the site evolves, but a new page or feature can introduce a gap before we catch it. If you find a barrier using this site, we genuinely want to know about it so we can fix it.

Compatibility

This site is built to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and their built-in assistive technology support, as well as common third-party screen readers such as VoiceOver and NVDA.
